Flame-resistant cladding panels with a unique, high-strength honeycomb backing make integration on any building easy. Mitrex panels are composed on non-combustible materials that have met CAN/ULC S114 testing and have passed the most rigorous fire testing, including CAN/ULC S134 testing, NFPA 285 testing with a Class A rating, and EN 13501-1 testing with a A2-s1,d0 rating.
Coupled with the unique structure of Cladify’s honeycomb backing technology, Mitrex panels combine fire safety with durability. The honeycomb-shaped structure provides a material with minimal density and relatively high out-of-plane compression properties and out-of-plane shear properties.
Mitrex offers rainscreen solutions consisting of an air pressurized cavity wall system designed to eliminate water penetration and allow ventilation.
The system is a form of double-wall construction that uses an outer layer to keep out the rain and an inner layer to provide thermal insulation, prevent excessive air leakage and carry wind loading. The outer layer breathes like skin while the inner layer reduces energy losses.
This system has two options: stick-built where installation is panel by panel, and pre-panelized where the panels are prefabricated and installed as a single unit.

The honeycomb core forms the foundation of the prefab wall panels. The structural integrity of the panels allows for more extensive span coverages and permits window system integration without any additional structural requirements.
The panels are lightweight, allowing for manhandling and floor-by-floor installation from inside the building structure, minimize site work, and are packed with thermal, air, water, and vapor barriers. They are also equipped with an integrated drainage system that allows for rainscreen classification, which aims to supplement system performance.
The connections to the building were designed to sit off the slab to bypass construction tolerances and minimize connection points for less thermal bridging.
